Salt in the air

After several weeks of beautiful calm weather and flat seas, some swell finally rolled in. I woke up this morning to see some pretty big sets arriving at Freshwater Beach. Two crazy surf-skiers were out there enjoying the wild ride.

I haven’t posted for a while. Partly because it’s winter and the days are short — I leave for work in the dark and come home in the dark so I haven’t had much time to get out with my camera. Shame because winter is beautiful here — the air is crisp and clear and when it’s not raining the beach is awesome. Hopefully I’ll see some whales cruising past soon.
